Matthew Clegg and Ray Hearne track several miles of the South Yorkshire Navigation between Mexborough and Conisbrough, accompanied by an audience of 25. A walk-through and rehearsal for ‘A Navigation with Matthew Clegg and Ray Hearne‘, a canal-themed collaboration between poet Clegg and songwriter Hearne, tracking several miles of the South Yorkshire Navigation between Mexborough and Conisbrough. Clegg read extracts from ‘Mexborough, Water-Fronted Properties Released’ (from The Navigators); Hearne performs his songs ‘At the Beck and Call’ and ‘Rother Sing a Don Song’.
